Candide Does America is a sequel to Voltaire's classic satire about Candide, who tries to maintain his belief that this is the best of all possible worlds as he confronts one horrendous catastrophe after another, and tries to put a positive spin on it all as he confronts the many "achievements" of American political, social and business policy.
